HUGO –
Tecnical Review
HUGO’s low pressure rubber
wheels makes HUGO very willing to climb difficult obstacles.
The wheels has a metal wheel hub but
the rim is also metallic. The wheel is connected directly
to the shaft of the motor. The advantage instead of
using another hub is of course friction as well as mechanical
space that can be replaced by a bigger and even more
powerful motor.
Despite heavy weight and powerful motors
HUGO’s wheels will likely not harm anything they
climb because they will roll over the obstacle using
the spring suspension to lift the complete wheel and
motor instread of just crushing the obstacle.
